The cookies this site uses, what each one is for, and how to change your mind.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels and tags — do much the same job. We use the word "cookies" below to cover all of them.
Your choice
The first time you visit, a slim notice appears at the top of the page with two options: Essential only and Accept all. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key gocruizo-cookie-choice so we do not ask again on every page.
The notice sits at the top of the page on purpose. It is never anchored to the bottom of the screen, because on a phone that is where the call button lives.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These are always active; you cannot switch them off, and they do not identify you. This includes the local-storage entry that records your cookie preference.
Advertising and conversion measurement
We advertise this site through Google Ads. Google's tag (gtag.js) records that a visit arrived from an ad and whether it led to a click on our phone number. Without it we cannot tell which advertising is worth paying for. These cookies are set by Google under its own terms; see Google's privacy documentation for the individual cookie names and lifetimes.
Analytics — optional
If you choose "Accept all", we may load Google Analytics to see which pages people read and where they stop. Choose "Essential only" and the analytics tag is not activated.
Changing your choice
- Clear your browser's site data for GoCruizo.com and reload the page — the notice will appear again.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this, usually under Privacy or Site settings.
- Opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on.
- Manage advertising personalisation in your Google Account's ad settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working properly. Blocking the rest will not.
Do Not Track
Browsers send "Do Not Track" signals inconsistently and there is no agreed standard for honouring them, so this site does not respond to them. Use the cookie notice instead — that choice we do honour.
